hurricane Grace

Sweet baby cheeses! Does this woman ever take a bad photo? She is a timeless, epic figure. It's probably best Grace Jones never broke through to the mainstream. She's always been about the slightly edgy, darkened corners of our minds.

Now, nearly three years after she released "Hurricane", her first new longplayer in nineteen years, Grace is about to reissue it with a bonus disc featuring dub versions of all nine tracks from the album. The collection includes "Sunset Sunrise" which will be given away as a free mp3 download.

If you got 'em, smoke 'em. Here's Grace!

  1. Now I may have been just 15 at the time, maybe 16, but I have been mesmerized by Ms. Jones ever since seeing her sing La Vie En Rose at the Ice Palace 57, in Manhattan, back in the late 70's. Hurricane is a wonderful album and Grace has always been exciting in a dub format. I'm looking forward to this!

  2. Has it been three years already? I still haven't bought a copy! [Too busy most of the time trying to catch up with the past] Sounds like waiting didn't hurt me too badly. The dub album should be marvelous. I treasure my Island promo 12"ers!

  3. I love Grace! Saw her live a couple of months ago and she was amazing. Love the Hurricane album and the bonus disc stuff will be cool, but I would rather have a new album :)
